Auto Dollar Cost Averaging is the process of averaging out buy-ins on a particular position (generally negative ones) to bring them closer to a positive value.
You buy 100 ZRX for $100 (1 ZRX = $1)
Price drops to 0.50$ per 1 ZRX
You buy a further $100 of ZRX (1 ZRX = 0.50$)
Your average buy-in is now 0.75$ bringing you much closer to a take profit value than before.
ADCA requires its own strategy which can be configured the same way as the main strategy or triggers. First head to My Strategies tab and select New Strategy. Once you have selected the Auto DCA from the Type drop-down box the building can begin.
Please note: The overview of the indicators and other settings used in building strategies can be found here. We will be covering aspects unique to the ADCA strategy building in this guide.
Here is the section where we can select at what threshold we want our bot to make another purchase on a current position, as well as the size of the position we wish it to buy.
Threshold - This is the % value at wish you want to make a buy (enter as a positive value, the bot understands this as a negative) in our example the threshold of 1 would mean when our position is negative 1% our ADCA strategy would be scanning for a buy.
Multiplier - This is the size of the position you wish to purchase, the value of 1 is equal to 100%. E.g a position of 0.1BTC which has hit the first ADCA level would look to purchase a further 0.1BTC.
INDICATORS AND SIGNALS
You can also choose to add an indicator and its corresponding signal for a smarter DCA entry than threshold alone.
Selling options here are the same as in other strategies. An important note DYNAMIC PP is based on your original strategy and not the ADCA strategy.
In your open positions table, you will see a key. You will also notice these icons next to your open position letting you know what positions have ADCA Enabled/Disabled or ones that are currently scanning for a purchase (Due to meeting the threshold requirements)
You can also Toggle the Auto DCA Status by the position Actions menu or the Global Actions menu.
